He lives in motels, sleeps on the side of the road, and eats in diners or anywhere where he can find food. He is a free spirit, unfettered from modern society's ebbs and flows, goes where he wants, buys his clothes at thrift stores, and lives a life, in his words, "free." And he is 6'5," a huge, powerful man. He travels to Margrave, Georgia, because his brother Joe told him a Blues singer died there, Blind Blake. On his arrival, Reacher discovers his brother was murdered and, using his military training and allying with local law enforcement, solves the murder of his brother and many others. But this is not a typical vigilante show about the hero killing the antagonists, though that happens, it is about Reacher's values and his commitment to finding justice, especially when that justice is manipulated by the bad guys using the law as protection. The strength of the story is Reacher never loses focus Ed.
