Crunchyroll’s 2023 Anime of the Year recipient, Jujutsu Kaisen, is returning to theaters in Japan for a special selection viewing. Between March 29th and April 4th, 30 Japanese theaters will screen Season 2, episodes 41-44, which showcase key battles from the Shibuya Incident arc. Episode 41 (Thunderclap Part 2) will include extended and revised footage, which will also be featured in the Blu-ray release. At a total runtime of 89 minutes, this select theatrical showing commemorates the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, volumes 4 & 5 on Blu-ray & DVD. A third season, focusing on the Culling Game arc, has subsequently been announced.
